As sad as we are to see summer go, we can't help but be excited for fall! Now, before you go on day dreaming about pumpkin spice everything and cozy knits, take a look at some of our favorite upcoming fall decor trends.
Did someone say, Velvet?
We cannot get enough of this lush and oh so soft fabric! It's texture is perfect for fall and it
adds a hint of luxury to any space. You can add some accent pillows, a chair or an ottoman, or even a couch. If you would like to incorporate a larger piece like a couch and are worried your room will look too stuffy, tone down the look with some natural elements like wood or rattan pieces.
Brass Metal accents and furniture are here to stay, but we want to focus on BRASS. We love transitional design, and brass has the ability and versatility to bring the perfect balance to a warm space or can bring some old world charm to a more modern design. It's simple, clean, and elegant. Brass elements can be added anywhere, from tables, light fixtures, faucets, and knobs.
Matte Black Everything Ok, we know this may not be for everyone, but we're obsessed! Black is a wardrobe staple and it's quickly becoming a home decor staple as well. You may be nervous about having it everywhere, but even a statement piece or two can completely transform your space. Move over stainless steel, our favorite look is the matte black kitchen appliance. As much as this look makes a statement it does it in a chic understated way.
Dark Paint We like to call this understated boldness, yes that's an oxymoron but it's also true. This can add some drama to a space, but it doesn't have to. If you have a flare for the dramatic, you can extend the dark colors into the decor, or go all out and paint the ceilings dark too. Most people see dark paint as a statement making design choice, but it also works really well as a neutral element. Hmmmm, could Hunter Green be the new Grey?
